The Wyatt family moved to Denby and reopened The George Inn in 2008, quickly transforming it into the warm and welcoming pub that you'll find today.

 

Initially taking on a lease with Admiral Taverns who owned the property they spent the first few years building their reputation. Introducing Cask Ales and gaining Cask Marque Accreditation. In 2012 they successfully bought the freehold and began to invest in the long process of refurbishment whilst continuing to serve the village of Denby and its visitors. Since then The George has gone on to win several acclaimed CAMRA Awards.

 

Today they continue to update the premises whilst staying true to the traditional village pub that The George has always been. With a homely feel and an emphasis on quality the family are now renowned for their award winning Real Ale and Fine Wines, a growing selection of Artisan Gin and of course their delicious Homemade Pies.
