Here at The George we pride ourselves on the quality of our Real Ales and work hard to keep all our casks conditioned to perfection by the time they are ready to be served on the bar.

 

Tetley Cask at 3.7% and Timothy Taylor's Landlord at 4.3% are always on as our permanent ales along with at least one rotating Guest Ale.

Being lucky enough to have some really great micro-breweries in and around the Huddersfield and Barnsley area, many of our Guest Ales are brewed locally only a few miles away.

We always support Cask Ale Week in the Autumn, an initiative to promote Real Ale which was launched by CAMRA and Cask Marque. During this week we have our two permanent beers plus four rotating Guest Ales from both local and national breweries.
