EVENTS
Here at The George we like to try and keep things fresh and interesting with different events throughout the year. Some of these might be weekly or monthly while others that are a little bit more special may only appear on the calendar annually or every few years. Some of our past success stories have included the memorable Denby Steam Rally in 2014 and the Tour de Yorkshire 2015. The annual Denby Dash organised with Denby Village Conservation Group and our Macmillan Coffee Morning & Afternoon Tea's are both successful fundraising events.

Jazz at The George
We are joined on the first Thursday of every month by Winston's Pennine Jazz and Guests for an evening of first class live music from the most talented musicians on the local jazz scene.
Each month we have a slightly different line up giving each evening its own unique twist.
Pie & Peas are served during the interval.

The first Thursday of every month from 8.30pm
Wednesdays
From 9.00pm
Quiz Night
Wednesday is the night to head down to The George and give those little grey cells a weekly workout!
The evening features a General Knowledge Quiz with an Interval Round that varies every week, plus The Accumulator & Crack The Safe!

Pie & Pea Walks
Join us on one of our walks as we take in the beautiful countryside that we have on our doorstep.
A leisurely walk of around 4 to 5 miles through fields and woodland followed by Homemade Pie, Peas & Roast Potatoes on our return. What better reward could there be!
